Hello everyone! It's great to connect with you again. I hope you've been doing well and that the past month has been kind to you. Whether you've been busy with work, spending time with loved ones, or pursuing your passions, I hope you've been able to find joy and fulfillment in your daily activities.

I'm excited to share with you the January’s edition of my newsletter, which happens to be the first edition of 2024. As always, I've included a variety of content that I hope you'll find both engaging and informative. My goal is to share helpful observations with you, and I hope that you'll find the articles to be valuable and thought-provoking.

As we move through the winter months, the days become shorter and the temperatures drop significantly. Many people find themselves bundling up in warm layers and seeking indoor activities to stay cozy. With the New Year, the anticipation of what is ahead grows as people reflect on the past year and set goals for the future. It's a time of new beginnings and fresh starts, where resolutions are made and plans are put into motion.

At this moment, grab a warm cup of tea, cozy up, and let’s embark on today’s articles.

* For today's topic, the focus will be on the new plot twist of whether or not there’s a connection between “our ego and our nervous system.”

With today’s article and the next few newsletters, we’ll be exploring the various factors that contribute to our well-being and delving into the underlying motivations that drive us.

We’ll also examine how these insights can be applied to improve our personal and professional lives.

Today I’ll also continue to share my insights about our departed loved ones, which will include our departed pets.

Today’s question is: “How can I know for sure it’s them and not my imagination?"

What happens when we first lose someone? Our grief blocks make it harder for them to reach out. It’s why, in some cases, our loved ones will go to our friends to pass a message on. When my dear friend passed away, even though I’d heard from him, the grief hit me hard. He knew from our conversations that I had a friend who was intuitive, so he passed on the message through her. Whenever I was locked in sorrow, he’d send a crow to the friend as an indicator to reach out to me.

Some of our loved ones, when they want to show you they’re present, do it through pictures falling. Our loved ones try to let us know they’re around. They may send signs or messages to reassure us of their presence. These can manifest in various ways, such as when we’re sleeping, synchronicities, or unexplained phenomena.

Dreams are often the first way a deceased friend or family member will try to reach out to you. The reason is that we’re more relaxed, which makes it easier for them to make their presence known. One trick I teach people is to ask your guides to help your loved one connect with you in your dream. Yet it’s important not to dismiss it afterwards as wishful thinking.

Some of our loved ones also use specific scents to let us know they’re present. For myself, as I mentioned last month, when one of my uncles shows up, I smell frankincense. I know exactly who was there because, when he was alive, it was one of the essences he used on a regular basis.

All of these and other examples that I’ve shared in last month’s newsletter are things our beloved pets also use as a sign they’re present.

For our beloved pets, I do have examples that I can share. When my dog Jasper crossed over, she came to see all of us in our dreams. My daughter or myself, when we were overwhelmed, would feel Jasper jump on the bed and lay down next to us.

The next example was when I purchased the house I live in now. The real estate agent asked if I’d consider keeping the cat that lived there. Unfortunately, my cat would attack that one every waking moment. Mischief was very possessive, so I declined. About two years later, you’d hear a cat using the litter box, but my one and only cat was on my lap. The former cat-in-spirit would come over for a few years before she stopped showing up.

I’ve also added a picture in the next section that looks to me like a dog, but you decide what you think.

Now back to our beloved loved ones. Maybe you've received one or more signs telling you your loved one is trying to get a hold of you from the beyond. But now you’re wondering: What is their message exactly? Start keeping track of the signs you receive and note any that you've already gotten. You may begin to notice a pattern.

Sometimes our loved ones may have specific messages for us, but at other times they might just want to tell us that they are doing well and that they love us. It’s their way of letting you know they’re doing well on the other side and that they’re still around you, even if you don’t sense them.

Today’s topic is “Ego vs. Nervous System.”

Let’s start off with a quick description of our ego. It always assumes the world is an unsafe place, and it will do anything to keep you safe! The ego tends to go a little overboard and keep us paralyzed rather than taking action, even on things we truly want to do. The ego creates within us a false sense of being in control, but the truth is we’re not. Your ego’s main goal and purpose is to help you stay alive. It will do whatever it takes to keep you from taking any risks that might result in a negative outcome.

From this objective, your ego is trying to keep you safe and to remain small. It’s trying to prevent you from causing any conflicts. It’ll often get in the way when you want to stand up for yourself, try something new, or ask for what you want. Your ego might say, “Don’t ask for that, or you might look silly or stupid." Just stay exactly where you are, and you’ll be fine. Remember, the ego’s role is to keep you safe at all costs. Ego fears change, above all, because it equates change with death. It’s why you feel so much stress and grief when things end or change in your life. Your ego is perceiving those changes, even if they’re positive, as if it’s they're own death.

Now here are some of the ways the nervous system (NS) is described. Your main aim in NS is your survival, both physically and emotionally. It’s always safety first!

From the sixth week of a person's development in the womb, the NS starts to form and gather the information necessary to keep the individual alive. Every internal and external stimulus plays a critical role in this process.

The nervous system continues to develop until the age of 26. As the nervous system develops, it becomes increasingly sensitive to internal and external stimuli. Every experience, from the food we eat to the air we breathe, plays a critical role in shaping and refining this system. During this time, every internal and external environmental stressors can shape the way our nervous system responds, making it a hyper-vigilant predictive machine that aims to protect our survival.

This developmental period is crucial for establishing neural connections and refining cognitive abilities. Also, the experiences and challenges encountered during those years can have long-lasting effects on our physical and mental health and overall well-being.

The nervous system is an incredibly complex and vital part of our bodies, responsible for receiving and processing information from both inside and outside of our bodies. Starting in the sixth week of development in the womb, this system begins to form and gather the necessary information to keep the individual alive and functioning properly.

As you can see, they both have the same objective: to keep us safe.
